We attach great importance to working with young musicians. Together with the Tyrolean State Conservatory and Innsbruck’s Haus der Musik, we organise concerts given by precollege students. In this year’s concert, the Wood & Soul ensemble meets Xaver Schutti, combining recorders with trumpet and electronics. At first sight, it is a meeting of two worlds of sound that could not be more different, but how they can harmonise is shown by young musicians travelling a road from the Renaissance to the 21st century. Opposites are not harmonised but exploited as a musical device – in a symbiosis of old and new music, composed and improvised, baroque instruments and modern electronics: A unique experience for the musicians and the audience.
