The Bonn CocoonDance ensemble is in search of “unthought” bodies. Together with her dancers, Rafaële Giovanola rethinks familiar body images and creates artistic bodies that are new to us.

In Vis Motrix four dancers move as if they come from another world, merging into an organism that is a mixture of human, animal and machine, and developing a hypnotic attraction from which there is no escape. What is the driving force, the soul (vis motrix) of these hybrid beings that both leads them to the limits of the physically possible and plays with and changes our perception?
