For the least well off among us, identity is sometimes the only life saver and the only form of self-respect. But it is a false image. It is a dishonest image, and in the hands of nationalist forces it can become destructive. Artists must do all they can to make sure that their ‘poetics’ provide a powerful response to the all-devouring political suffocation we now find ourselves in.
(Jan Lauwers)

This is the first time Jan Lauwers has come to Tyrol, one year later than planned. For decades, his Needcompany has been one of Europe’s leading pioneer theatre and performance groups. Jan Lauwer’s works deal with life in our time as well as autobiographical situations, including All the Good, in which four family members perform. The focus is on loss, hope and love. It is a love story at a time when Europe is sacrificing its values and many people are succumbing to hatred and a lack of understanding: The story of a family of artists with their everyday cares and ubiquitous death, which mercilessly intrudes in both the seclusion of the home and the outside world. An unforgettable, disturbing and moving evening.
