Déplacement (2015)   Mithkal Alzghair

Displacement, a new work by the Syrian choreographer Mithkal Alzghair, shows the human body between belonging and displacement with the help of moving poetic images. Alzghair is rooted in the Syrian culture and its traditions in music and dance. A poignant narrative of flight and resulting uncertainty in exile. For me, it is necessary to show the realities of the Syrian conflict and the hope of freedom. (Alzghair)
