In 2023, György LIGETI would have been a hundred years old. His music has had a powerful influence on our work. As a composer, teacher and friend, he was a frequent visitor to Hall in Tyrol. To this day, his music is a source of inspiration for artists sich as Elisabeth Schilling. In Hear Eyes Move. Dances with Ligeti, she takes us on a magical journey. The point of departure is Ligeti’s Études pour piano – played live by Cathy Krier. Music and dance begin to grow with and into each other as interrelated forms which, without either dominating the other, produce a dance concert and a concert dance filled with captivating images. Perhaps we will even hear our eyes move?
