Grace Wangari (Nairobi, Kenya) and Sven Kacirek (Hamburg) employ the African tradition of musical storytelling to take us back to the colonial era from 1870 to 1990. They are convinced that passing on knowledge and experience to the next generation is a fundamental requirement for understanding current political and sociological developments. Together they take the audience on a journey across the African continent, to the Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia and South Africa. The past is viewed from African perspectives in the interest of recognising and overcoming future oppression and exploitation.
