In Silenzio, LeineRoebana’s dancers explore silence in diverse forms of expression. It becomes a poetic moment, an artistic motor and can even be very loud at times. The result is a series of beautiful self-contained images alternating with highly vibrant scenes. With great curiosity, the seven dancers in Silenzio seek a dialogue with other cultures and various artistic disciplines in the conviction that openness and vulnerability are the keys to coexistence. The music (including Sofia Gubaidulina, Arvo Pärt and Josquin Desprez) plays an equal role in direct dialogue with the dance. A finale to celebrate the art of living.

Andrea Leine and Harijono Roebana occupy a place of their own in the international dance world with their unique, idiosyncratic dance language and style of working. They are noted for their exciting physical dance idiom and the central role played by live music in the performances. An exciting aspect of their work is the extraordinary interweaving of contemporary dance, text, design and diverse musical timbres. GhostTrack was their contribution to the 25th Easter Festival Tyrol (2013).
